Find Urgent Help

When something serious is happening, the right help matters more than trying to handle everything alone.

If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact the emergency services where you are now.

Case Logic is not an emergency service.

Not sure what kind of help you need?

Difficult situations can involve several problems at the same time. Start with the issue that feels most urgent or important right now.

If there is immediate danger, use emergency services first.

If there is no immediate danger and you want help making sense of the wider situation, Case Logic can help you understand what is happening, organise what matters and prepare more clearly for your next steps.

Case Logic provides Situation Intelligence support. It is not an emergency service and does not replace police, ambulance, medical care, mental-health treatment, legal representation or other qualified professional support where needed.

You can reach for support before things feel overwhelming or urgent.

If you believe you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact the emergency services where you are.

If you are struggling to stay safe or experiencing a serious emotional crisis, seek urgent crisis or medical support.

Support can begin before a crisis

You may want support because you are dealing with overwhelming stress, anxiety, low mood, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, grief, trauma, loneliness, substance use, relationship difficulties or another difficult emotional experience.

You can also seek help because you are worried about someone else.

How Case Logic can still help

Professional or crisis support may address one part of a difficult situation.

If there is no immediate danger, Case Logic can also help you understand and organise the wider situation and prepare for decisions, conversations or next steps.

Case Logic does not provide crisis intervention, diagnosis, treatment or emergency medical care.

  • Threats or intimidation
  • Child abuse or exploitation

Case Logic and the wider situation

A safety issue can also affect housing, family, money, work, communication, evidence, legal matters and important decisions.

Case Logic can help you understand and organise the wider situation. It does not replace police, safeguarding services, medical care, specialist abuse services or legal professionals.

If there is immediate danger or you need specialist safety support, use the appropriate emergency or specialist route first.

Sometimes the clearest next step is getting the right specialist help.

Case Logic can help you understand and organise a difficult situation, but some needs are better handled by an appropriately qualified professional or recognised specialist service.

Different kinds of help can work together

Professional help and Case Logic can have different roles.

A professional may deal with a specialist part of your situation. Case Logic can help you understand and organise the wider picture and prepare for important conversations or next steps.

Safe & Respectful Use of Case Logic

You can disagree, ask questions, request clarification or raise a complaint. Respectful challenge is part of using Case Logic.

We also need to keep the service safe and workable for Customers, Case Logic Workers and other people.

What crosses the line

We may take action where someone uses Case Logic to:

  • threaten, intimidate or abuse another person;
  • harass a Case Logic Worker or another person;
  • use discriminatory or hateful abuse;
  • make threats of violence or serious harm;
  • deliberately misuse the service to harm another person;
  • seek confidential or private information they are not entitled to receive;
  • deliberately or persistently misuse the service in a way that materially interferes with Case Logic’s ability to support Customers; or
  • use Case Logic in another way prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy.

What may happen

Depending on what has happened and how serious it is, Case Logic may:

  • ask the person to change their behaviour;
  • end or limit a particular interaction;
  • change how support is provided where appropriate;
  • restrict particular service features; or
  • suspend or end access where permitted by the Terms of Service.

Serious safety concerns may require different action where appropriate or required by law.

We will consider the circumstances

Being upset, distressed, frustrated, asking repeated questions, criticising Case Logic or disagreeing with us does not by itself make behaviour unacceptable.

Any action should be proportionate to what has happened.

If you think we got it wrong

Where an appropriate review or complaints route is available, we will explain how to use it.
